Then there is the issue of costs. Can we host such expensive events when our per capita income is so low and poverty is so widespread, thanks to illiteracy and overpopulation? You also of course have the problem of corruption as well. If 1,000 crores is allocated more than half will go into the pockets of politicians and bureaucrats.
Finally, the opening ceremony needs imaginative ideas like the balloon lighting, horse floating etc. we don’t have such creativity. We can only manage cringe Bollywood stuff.
So I feel Modi is making a big mistake in trying to bid for the Olympics!
And maybe try not starting threads which are this potent of exposing someone’s identity like this. LI maybe moderate the thread and hide the college’s name.
Learn to be respectful..there are lot of people who did 3yr llb and are doing great in the profession be it corporate job or practice...
People like u only know how to mock others

On the afternoon of 17 July, J. Sagar Associates (JSA) announced the biggest-ever move in the Indian antitrust circles, stunning those in the legal fraternity.
Nisha Kaur Uberoi, the national head of the competition law practice at Trilegal, one of India’s top legal firms, is set to join rival JSA as a competition chair with her team of 27 fee-earning associates, including two partners and support staff like personal assistants, officer clerks, in August.
Uberoi (45) is a consummate litigator and global deal-maker who has spearheaded complex M&A transactions amounting to over US$150 billion. Her departure from Trilegal’s market-leading competition law practice after seven years means the firm loses not only one of its top-earners but also a roster of marquee clients.
These include blue chip firms like tech giant Apple Inc. to conglomerates like Aditya Birla group, and energy-management firm Schneider Electric, among others.
Trilegal’s partner in corporate M&A, Sridhar Gorthi, who is also part of the firm’s management committee said: “We will continue to strengthen and expand this practice group as we have done with all our other areas of expertise.” He added that: “Nisha was instrumental in building our competition practice and has been part of the firm’s extraordinary growth journey.”

ABHISHEK MANU SINGHVI, SENIOR COUNSEL AT THE SUPREME COURT
Uberoi is also leading the defence in India’s highest penalty case of US$1.2 billion, involving an alleged cement cartel, representing the US$60 billion Aditya Birla conglomerate. Her clients will be moving with her to JSA, she told The Ken.
“Clients are obviously free to choose their legal advisors. It would be unprofessional to discuss any of them by name,” said Gorthi.
Trilegal’s competition practice now has 18 members across levels, including two partners, added Gorthi.

Also by what time of the year does CAM usually announce their hike?
I heard that increments are not comparable to other tier 1 firms even with the recent increase in salaries for freshers.
I was offered 5x of the increased remuneration as bonus after one year (due in September).
I am way harsher on myself than you can imagine.
HR allots the team based on the vacancy. So don't think that you can select the team.
